Church of the Holy Apostles
Welcome to our Website!

Welcome to the Church of the Holy Apostles. We are a Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Baltimore located in Gambrills, Maryland. Our pastor is Rev. James Kiesel.

On March 1, 2014 Fr. Jim became pastor of both Church of the Holy Apostles and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odenton. Effective July 1, 2014 the two parishes will be joined to form a new parish community at the current St. Joseph campus. Church of the Holy Apostles will continue to celebrate Mass at its current site at the School of the Incarnation through June 8, 2014. The last Mass at the School of the Incarnation site will be on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM. This will be the only Mass celebrated that morning.

COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS

An adult community celebration will be held on Friday, May 9 from 7-11 pm at J. Kings in Gambrills. Food and drinks will be served and a cash bar available. A limited number of tickets are available for $15 per person. Tickets will be available after Masses on Sundays or in the office during the week.

Save the date! A family picnic is planned for Sunday, June 8 after our last Mass. More details to come. Please contact the office if you are interested in helping plan!

Prayer for Our Future
Almighty God,
We, the people of the Church of the Holy Apostles
and the Church of Saint Joseph prayerfully look to the future.
We ask your blessing as we continue to respond to your call.
May we open our hearts and minds to be good stewards of the legacy of faith built by our two Church communities.
Continue to form us as people open to all who seek you.
Continue to fill our worship with your Spirit.
Guide our decisions by your wisdom.
Give us courage and hope to accept the changes that will come.
May all we do in furthering the development of our joined parish community be a sign of hope to our neighbors and bring honor and glory to our living and true God, now and forever.
Amen.

Our Mission and Vision

Mission Statement
We bring the Good News of salvation to all people!

Vision Statement
The Parish Pastoral Council is in the process of an Appreciative Inquiry of the parish's strengths and dreams. The following five provocative statements have been agreed upon in driving the vision for CHA:

Worships/Prays Together
We worship and pray together in a way that invites, enables, and inspires all to fully participate.

Welcomes, Cares & Serves
We welcome, serve and love all as God loves us, to build up the Body of Christ.

Equips Others for Ministries and to Lead
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we encourage and equip each other to recognize and share our gifts for ministry.

Evangelizes
We live the gospel and share the Good News with all to nourish and grow the Body of Christ, and transform our world.

Facilitates/Teaches
We cultivate prayer and discernment as we make important life decisions, seeking wisdom through the liturgy, the sacraments and Sacred Tradition; we embrace the Holy Spirit within and among us.
