High School Youth Ministry The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a horizon as the apparent junction of earth and sky. At Church of the Holy Apostles, the Horizons Ministry seeks to help young people apply their Catholic faith to daily life experiences and to see their part in bringing about the Kingdom of God here on earth. The goals of the ministry are to:
- Empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today;
- Draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community; and
- Foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Opportunities for socials, catechesis, teen discussions and/or outreach activities are scheduled at various days and times each month. Catechetcial sessions are generally held on scheduled Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 PM in our Teen Café. Teen discussions, social activities and outreach opportunities are scheduled during the weekends. The variety of days and times provides a wider range of participation by the youth while also respecting the busy schedules of families.

Middle School Youth Ministry
St. Catherine of Siena said "When you are who you are called to be you will set the world ablaze!" The Blaze Ministry offers opportunities throughout the year for youth in Grades 6-8 to meet other middle schoolers, get involved in outreach, and have fun in a safe and spiritually enriched environment. Check the parish bulletin weekly for upcoming Blaze events. There is no registration form or enrollment fee for Blaze.
