Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLoW)

If interested, please e-mail Rachel Densmore.

Hospitality

Assist in helping new members feel welcome as well as our monthly "Hospitality Sundays." If you are interested, please contact Annalisa Carino-Mixter, Christie Thibeault, or Vivian Mullen.

Outreach

Our community provides its time, treasure, and talent in assisting our brothers and sisters who face challenges as a result of economic and social conditions. Through our actions, advocacy, and prayer we seek to improve their lives and remove the barriers that prevent equality and justice in our society. The following are the specific programs that this ministry sponsors.

Archbishop Borders School: 97% of the students at Archbishop Borders School in Baltimore City receive tuition assistance and free or reduced lunch. 30% of the students qualify for Title 1 services. CHA supports our partnership school through yearly collections for scholarships, school supplies, and book fees, opportunities for cultural arts programs, and parishioner visits. Some of the days we've sponsored for the school are Guest Reader Day, Career Day, Earth Day, Multicultural Day, Field Day, and a Halloween Festival.

Elizabeth Ministry: A group for women (and families) dealing with miscarriage, infertility, adoption, family blending, child crisis, child death, and births. Counseling and prayer are offered in support of needy families upon request.

Homeless Ministries: Weekly & seasonal collections of food, clothing, gift cards, and other items are taken to benefit the following organizations:

* Christ Child Society
* Chrysalis House
* Franciscan Center
* My Sister’s Place
* Our Daily Bread
* Sarah's House
* Seton Food Pantry
* Winter Relief

International Outreach: Quarterly contributions of money are made to international organizations.

Loaves & Fishes: CHA parishioners provide meals for our own families during times of need upon request. Those times may result from the death of a loved one, a spouse sent overseas, an ill family member, or other reasons.

If interested in any of the above outreach ministries, please e-mail Pat Armbrust.

Collection Stewards

The collection stewards are resposible for the counting and recording of the weekly collection. Currently there are three teams of three people. Each team counts once every three weeks on a rolling basis. If you are interested, please contact Karin Cimini.

Music Ministry

Worship and prayer are the lifeblood of a community. Music is an essential part of offering the finest praise we can to our God. Open to all with musical ability; those who like to sing, play instruments or are able to assist with set-up and break down or equipment or other support activities. For more information, contact Katie Kauffmann.

Baptism Preparation

Couples participating in this ministry help advise and assist parents and godparents who are preparing for the sacrament of baptism. For information, contact Annette Mulry.

Mass Coordinators

Mass Coordinators oversee the various ministries and activities that take place during each Mass. If interested, contact Bill Squicciarini.

Marriage Preparation

In this ministry, one experienced and well-trained married couple meets, in their own home, with one engaged couple. They agree to gather together for several sessions (usually five) to develop the engaged couple's understanding of Christian Marriage and increase their awareness of each other's values and attitudes. For information, contact Annette Mulry.

Stewardship & Development

The Stewardship and Development Council oversees and coordinates financial stewardship, planning and community building and outreach activity. For more information contact the Parish office at 410.519.2291.

Set Up

Each weekend, our worship space is prepared for Mass. This includes the setup of chairs and all the liturgical appointments needed for the celebration of Mass. After Sunday Masses, the space needs to be "taken down" and everything put away. Dedicated teams tend to these important physical needs each weekend. If you are interested in setting up and taking down our worship space each week, please e-mail Jeff Dougherty, Steve Shamblen or Mark Sexton.

Please contact us if you have any questions about our ministries or would like to know about other opportunities to serve our community that may not be listed here.
